DUE TO THE EXTORTIONATE CHARGES WIX WANT FOR EXTRA STORAGE SPACE, I AM HAVING TO REDESIGN MY WEBSITE AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PHOTOS I CAN PUT ON HERE.

THIS HAS REALLY KNOCKED THE STUFFING OUT OF ME, HENCE WHY THERE HAS BEEN NO UPDATED WALKS.

I MAY HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER WEBSITE HOST BUT FOR THE TIME BEING I AM TIED TO WIX FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS.

Tryfan's North Ridge

This is me on my way up the North Ridge of Tryfan in 2015

The Walk of my Life is like a blog or diary... It tells of my love for walking in the great outdoors and how I found this love, through my memories and photos.

I hope you enjoy what I have put together.

Colin Above The Clouds

This is my old friend Colin enjoying a cloud inversion from Tryfan.

This was taken around 1992.

Colin is the person who introduced me to the joys of the great outdoors.

He sadly passed away 29th December 2014.

2020 has been an annus horribillis due to the Covid19 pandemic which has wreaked havoc on the world! 2021 has been much the same. With lockdowns, restrictions as to where and what you can do, and who you can visit. Please click here to read my thoughts on this virus.

I am so grateful that I made a conscious effort to do this website, because my memory has never been great, but as I grow older my memory has lost its ability to recall certain events, and to a certain extent some of the people that would have made those memories possible. So, to be able to look at the pages of this website and look back at some of the things I have done in my life helps keep some of those memories alive. The people I have had the good fortune to know and who have helped make these memories, makes me profoundly grateful to have known them and being able to call them friends. Some I am still in contact with, some for one reason or another I have lost contact with, and the ones who are no longer with us, they will always be with me.

Modern mobile phones are the bane of some peoples lives, but I often think of what memories I may have recorded if they were around back in the day! You do not always have a camera with you, but with the modern smartphones, you have a decent camera with you in a small package with quite large memory to record those memories.
